Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Operations Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for supporting infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines that ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cloud technologies, configuration management, and DevOps best practices, while also demonstrating a passion for learning and technology.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, monitor, and support cloud infrastructure and deployments in AWS.
Configure, maintain, and automate systems using Ansible and other tools.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and related technologies.
Perform code versioning and collaboration using Git (CLI).
Troubleshoot and optimize Linux-based systems and applications.
Implement deployment strategies such as canary and blue/green deployments.
Understand and apply networking concepts (subnets, ACLs, firewalls, etc.) in infrastructure design.
Use SSH to securely access, configure, and troubleshoot remote instances.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment workflows and system reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Linux: Intermediate-level knowledge with hands-on experience in system administration and troubleshooting.
Cloud: AWS experience required; AWS certification preferred.
Automation/Configuration Management: Proficiency in Ansible.
Version Control: Intermediate Git skills (CLI workflow experience).
DevOps Practices: Familiarity with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment methodologies (blue/green, canary).
Networking: Basic to intermediate understanding of subnets, ACLs, and network configuration.
Other: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and willingness to continuously learn.
Preferred Attributes
AWS Certified (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Developer).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Enjoys staying current with emerging DevOps and cloud technologies.
