Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack API Developer to join our consulting engineering team. In this role, you will architect, build, and optimize enterprise-grade APIs and microservices while delivering intuitive end-user interfaces.

You should possess strong, production-tested experience in both Python and Java, along with a proactive approach to modern AI-assisted engineering workflows—specifically leveraging Claude Code (Anthropic's agentic CLI tool) and related AI tooling to accelerate development, refactoring, and code review cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • API & Backend Engineering: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and resilient RESTful and event-driven APIs using Python (e.g., FastAPI, Flask) and Java (e.g., Spring Boot, Micronaut).

  • Full Stack Integration: Connect robust backend endpoints with responsive frontend interfaces and client-facing web applications.

  • AI-Accelerated Development: Integrate agentic AI tooling—specifically Claude Code—into your daily developer workflows for code generation, test coverage expansion, refactoring, documentation, and automated debugging.

  • Data & Cloud Integration: Interface with modern relational and NoSQL databases, message queues/streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ), and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, architects, product managers, and client stakeholders to translate complex business needs into clean technical implementations.

  • Best Practices & Quality: Enforce API design standards (OpenAPI/Swagger), automated CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and security protocols (OAuth2, JWT).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Professional Experience: 4+ years of professional software development experience in full stack and API-centric application development.

  • Dual-Stack Fluency: Deep, hands-on programming expertise in both Python and Java enterprise frameworks.

  • Claude Code / Agentic AI Workflow: Proven familiarity and hands-on experience using Claude Code (Anthropic's terminal-based coding assistant) to plan, write, refactor, and review codebase changes.

  • API Architecture: In-depth knowledge of API design paradigms (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC), microservices patterns, error handling, rate limiting, and API security.

  • Database & Cloud Skills: Solid proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and core cloud services (AWS preferred).

  • DevOps & Tooling: Strong familiarity with Git, Linux CLI environments, Docker, and standard CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in management/technology consulting or working with enterprise clients.

  • Working knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript).

  • Experience with distributed streaming systems (e.g., Kafka) or orchestration frameworks.

  • Familiarity with building LLM-integrated applications (e.g., RAG pipelines, function-calling architectures).

Infinitive is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
