Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Boto3 to join our cloud engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions on AWS, automating cloud services using Boto3, and developing efficient, scalable cloud applications. Your work will contribute to building robust, highly available, and secure cloud architectures to support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, and more.
  • Automate cloud deployments and management tasks using Python and Boto3, with an emphasis on infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into applications and optimize performance.
  • Implement and manage cloud security policies, roles, and permissions using IAM.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud services for cost and performance, using tools like CloudWatch, AWS Config, and CloudTrail.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Write and maintain clear, concise documentation of cloud architectures, automation scripts, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current with AWS services, best practices, and new features, recommending improvements to the cloud architecture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Python, with strong experience in writing automation scripts using the Boto3 SDK.
  • Solid experience with AWS infrastructure, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudFront.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, and route tables.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including tools like Jenkins, CodePipeline, or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, AWS Config, and other related AWS services.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM roles, policies, and encryption best practices.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, ECS).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Experience with database management on AWS, including RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
